Pure Organic Ceremonial Cacao, Guatemala
Special Mayan Ceremonial Cacao, Guatemala
This is a very special cacao from a Mayan, all women, family business in Guatemala.
For years, I have been testing different types of ceremonial cacao, and so far I have never found a better one than this one. This is very good quality cacao, it’s rich in healthy fats, so when you drink it, you don’t have any plumps of cacao.
When you drink this cacao, you will feel immediately the power of love rushing into your heart, feeling supported and held.
Psychological Benefits of drinking Ceremonial Cacao
Drinking ceremonial cacao is a plant medicine that improves your body, mind, and spirit. Furthermore, drinking pure cacao weekly improves your mood.
The beans contain:
- Norepinephrine improves alertness and energy.
- Serotonin improves your sense of wellbeing and creates resistance to stress.
- Dopamine gives you a feeling of motivation and pleasure.
- Anandamine gives you a bliss molecule that moderates pain and is associated with the “runners high” effect.
- Phenylethylamine (PEA) gives you excitement, alertness, and increased attention. It also gives the perception of time slowing down.
The difference between cocoa powder, cacao powder and ceremonial cacao
Cocoa powder is a nice pleasure, but not healthy. It has been roasted for long periods at high temperatures. This changes the molecular structure of the bean, lowering its natural nutritional value.
Cacao powder is also a pleasure, but less unhealthy. Even though we call it a Superfood. it’s actually highly processed with heat, which removes the bean’s natural fat called cacao butter. This process destroys the many living enzymes, healthy fats, and subtle energetic properties of cacao.
Ceremonial cacao is a transformational healthy plant medicine. Ceremonial-grade paste cacao is made by fermenting and sun-drying the cacao-beans. The peeling of the husks is done by hand and stone-grinding. Nothing is added and no high heat is used, so the fat of the highly abundant bean is kept in the cacao. It is completely different than the normal cacao, we can buy in the stores.
The women in this family grind the cacao down by hand to create a paste that is set into a block.
This ceremonial cacao is kept in its pure traditional form, produced in the ancient Mayan way. I feel that by looking to the folk, indigenous wisdom of how the medicine has been made and used, we’re offered more direct access to something that’s wholly nourishing, for the mind, body and spirit.
My best recipe for drinking ceremonial cacao
- 42 g of cacao
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 dl of plant milk
- Sea salt, tip of a knife
- Black pepper, tip of a knife
- Cayenne pepper, tip of a knife
- 1 fresh date without seed
This is my personal favorite way to drink and prepare this cacao. But it actually also works very well with simply some water.
How to prepare it
Start by measuring the correct amount of cacao. If you want a whole cup, the dosage is: 42g
Chop the cacao in fine pieces and put them in the cup that you want to drink from.
Add the water in the cup and make sure there is a little more space to add the milk.
Put it all together in a pot and heat it slowly up until 80 degrees Celcius to keep the fat of the bean.
Then, you can drink it like it is or put it in a blender to get it extra nice and creamy.
My favorite mantras combined with this cacao
- Om Tare Tu Tara – Opens up to divine love
- Om Ganesha – Opens up to your divine path
- I Release Control – Helps you surrender to what needs to be felt and transformed
I usually play mantras both when I prepare and drink the cacao.
With the feminine energy in this specific cacao, you will feel strong support every time you drink this cacao and connect with the feminine aspect of consciousness. For sure, you will feel mother Gaia holding you and loving you unconditionally.
These kinds of old shamanic rituals are very powerful and that is why, it is important to do it with a pure product where you know that the energy you welcome in, is in line with divine love. This I know and feel by talking with the Mayan family and connecting with their product. That is why I want to share the product with more openhearted spirited souls.
Blessings on your Journey!
